Alamo, California · Est. 1916
A century of community. Thousands of volunteer hours. One beautiful clubhouse. The Alamo Women's Club is the oldest service organization in Alamo — and we're still growing.
Who We Are
Alamo Women's Club (AWC) is affiliated with The General Federation of Women's Clubs — an international organization committed to community improvement and volunteer service. AWC operates as a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit.
We trace our origins to 1916 as the Mothers' Club of Alamo Grammar School. During World War II, members served in watchtowers, prepared bandages, and ran canteens for returning soldiers.
In the early 1950s, the generosity of Ruth and Dr. Corwin Henry gave us our permanent home — a beautiful clubhouse that anchors our philanthropic mission to this day.
